It’s official! We are in the thick of summer over here. Just this morning I checked the temperature at 8 AM, and it was already 80 degrees! Something about this weather makes me want to eat as fresh as possible and only turn on the stove as necessary. So instead of making a crunch wrap, I used Joseph’s lavash bread to make a wrap!
The ingredients for this are pretty simple, but what turns them into something a little different is the addition of cream cheese and just a bit of cranberry sauce. The cranberry sauce gives it a sweet flavor, and it pairs awesome with ham and turkey deli meat. The macros for 1 large wrap are 11f/36c/35p, but I just ate half of the wrap and saved the other half for the next day. Speaking of macros, this recipe can easily by found in MyFitnessPal by searching “How We Macro Cream Cheese & Cranberry Wrap.” Hopefully this makes it easier for you to log my recipes!
I also have a couple ideas on ways you could switch up this recipe to fit your needs. This wrap could be sliced up into pinwheels and served as an appetizer, or that would make it perfect for feeding to your kids. The wrap could benefit from a couple hours in the fridge, rolled up tightly, to keep it from unraveling if you choose to go this route! If people wouldn’t appreciate the lavash wraps I used for this recipe, you could easily sub flour tortillas or another favorite wrap. Another substitution you could make to save some fats is using fat free cream cheese instead. I personally much prefer the low fat option, but use what your preference is!
